Theresa Murrin believes that every child can succeed and credits her strong faith, family, and educational background for making her the teacher she is today. A graduate of Duquesne University's Master’s of Education program, Ms. Murrin is a certified Reading Specialist. Before coming to Seelos Academy, she worked at Saint Alexis for 18 years and was a substitute teacher at Pittsburgh public and private schools, including the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. It was at the School for the Deaf that she was able to use her five years of study of the American Sign Language.
Ms. Murrin lived in Switzerland as a small child and had the opportunity to also travel to many states and countries including Ireland and Paris, and even rode a camel in Morocco! Her favorite destination is the beach, so you will find her in Florida as often as possible. She also enjoys volunteering at the Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh.
