Susan Gazzo is a proud product of Catholic education. Not only did she attend 12 years of Catholic school, but her six siblings did as well. She values the sacrifice of her parents to provide this schooling and the importance of faith that was at the center of their family.
Mrs. Gazzo found her home in room 202 on Church Road over 20 years ago when she began teaching at Saint Alphonsus School, now Blessed Francis Seelos Academy. In between her degree in Elementary Education from Point Park College and career at Seelos Academy, she taught at St. Elizabeth and Prince of Peace Schools. A two-time Golden Apple Award Nominee, Mrs. Gazzo is adored by her students. You will often hear them singing along with her Elvis impersonations and celebrating the wins of her favorite sports team, the Pittsburgh Penguins. She is refreshed from her recent visit to Ireland, her third visit to the Green Isle.
