Gretta Bender is an alumnae of the University of Alabama and received her Bachelors’ degree in Elementary and Special Education. She is also an alumnae of North Catholic High School.

Students will quickly learn that Ms. Bender possesses a servant's heart and instills her qualities of compassion, honesty, patience, and kindness into her classroom. Her compassion spills over to her extracurricular activities where she volunteers for a special needs organization, TRY. She is also very involved in her parish, Divine Grace and has walked the steps that Jesus did in the Holy Land.

You may also find Ms. Bender on the ski slope or reading a novel. She is also has a very unique linguistic ability by speaking Pig Latin!
