The Blessed Francis Seelos Academy Learning Enrichment Fund provides financial support to the faculty and school for professional development, classroom materials, and school-wide programming. Below are just a couple of the items that the fund provided to Seelos Academy
Eighth-grade class visited the Holocaust Memorial and Lincoln Museum in Washington DC. After doing a series in seventh grade on the Holocaust, students were able to see history come to life and gain a deeper understanding of tolerance, respect, compassion and acceptance.
Purchased 10 iPads, along with ten Osmo Learning Kits, screen protectors, cases, and a charging station for the Preschool campus to use during classroom centers. One of the teachers also took an online training course in order to effectively implement this technology into the preschool classroom.
Grades K-8 attended three weeks of STEM exposure and hands-on learning through the Intermediate Unit 1’s Mobile FabLab.
